Here is my 2009 in review. I realize it's a couple of weeks late, but hey... better late than never, right?
- Participated in the 13th Annual MSP Polar Bear Plunge, and decided that I would participate every year in an effort to support Special Olympics Maryland.
- Had a great outing in Washington D.C. and decided I needed to go museum-hopping more frequently.
- Fell in love with an amazing local band, The Grilled Lincolns. Became friends with all five band members and enjoy promoting their music.
- Reconnected with several friends from high school whom I'd lost touch with after graduation. Awesome! :)
- Saw Ray LaMontagne perform live at Tower Theatre in Upper Darby, PA.
- Bought the six-ticket Flex Pack of O's tickets with my girls and had a blast at Opening Day and the other games we remembered to attend.
- Spent five fantastic days in Hilton Head, SC with my long lost cousin Melissa and met my beautiful 3-year old niece Sophie Rose. Spent a day in Savannah, GA and totally fell in love with the South. Oh, and I saw one of my favorite bands, G. Love & Special Sauce, live in concert for the third time.
- Met Phil Dallhauser and Todd Rogers, 2008 US Olympic Gold Medalist beach volleyball players, at the Crocs OC Open in Ocean City, MD.
- Traveled to fabulous Las Vegas, NV and [somehow] managed to avoid recreating my own version of The Hangover. Realized exactly how awesome it is to live in a zero-humidity climate. Made a mental note to return ASAP!
- Attended the wedding of a very close high school friend/teammate and could not be happier for her... in fact, she and her husband are expecting their first child!
- Went crabbing for the first time since I was little and had a great time boating with friends.
- Made a career change and took a job at my gym to become a certified personal trainer. Changed my outlook on life. Met several amazing people in the process. Seriously loving it... :)
- Spent my 24th birthday with some of my closest friends, at my favorite bar, listening to the sweet sounds of my favorite local band. Easily the best birthday ever.
- Saw Ray LaMontagne perform live at Tower Theatre again. Yes, he is just that good!
- Had my first and only run-in with the law. Ugh. You live and you learn, that's all I have to say regarding that. I couldn't be more grateful for having such supportive friends and family to help me through the ordeal, without judging. You guys mean the world to me.
- Found someone who is, quite possibly, perfect for me in every way. And he's smokin' hot with a phenomenal sense of humor that is comparable to his bod. He makes me ridiculous happy... best big spoon ever! <3
- Was fortunate to spend lots quality time with all of my loves, which reiterated to me that friends and family are what matters the most in life.
